Community Care

Our Short Term Child Care (STCC) program provides families with the ability to access high quality care that best meets their temporary child care needs. All child care provided through STCC seeks to establish a safe, supportive and nurturing environment for the child(ren), which fosters their emotional, social, intellectual and physical development, however brief the child care arrangement.

In partnership with Ontario Works, the Shelter Respite Child Care Program of STCC offers mothers residing in the shelter, temporary child care for their child or children.

This program is designed to support mothers who may need to attend appointments, meet with shelter staff or for respite care.
